Masks Verde was an attempt to paint on a smaller scale. This painting
works well in every gallery, every wall, and room environ it is placed.
The style is neo cubist tone-on-tone monochromatic, and the backgrouond is chock full of three dimensional texture rendered using acrylic paint with pumice gel mixed into it. In contrast I intentionally made the faces smooth.
The twin masked faces capture two personalities, two moods, two different races, two separate depictions of beauty, two feminine spirits that are alike yet singularly distinct. |
