Starlet 1935 is the newest in the Art Deco series.....This era the Golden Age of Hollywood is my greatest inspiration. As it states in my bio - Glamour is my favorite word! Starlet 1935 is glamour personified.
With each new painting I try to include something new. Here for the first time I used rosy pinks and blue-gray lavendars, and then amber and honey tones for the geometric deco-futuristic angles in the background. Also another first is the glossy varnish I gave to the painting as the final step.
Upon completing ' Starlet 1935' I realized the striking resemblence this painting had to my best friend Paris Julie Pierson. Julie is no longer with us, but I am glad I have this painting to remember her by.
