This Was An Experiment In Using Alternative Mediums To Create Art.  'Mardi Gras' Was Created On A Rainy Afternoon I Have Always Loved Embroidery And Used So Much In This Piece That The Fabric Is Completely Covered Like A Tapestry. The Stitching Is All Wrong Still I Love This Small Piece, It Is Framed With A Black Mat And A Black Steel Frame. The Colors Remind Me Of New Orleans During Mardi Gras, The Dark Gray Background Designates Early Evening Hours In The French Quarter Just As The Festivities Of Mardi Gras Are About To Begin.
